Let's Walk Together

holding-hands-bw

Join Me,
Believe in a world full of peace.
Don’t question the society,
Just believe it.
Chop down all hates.
We determinate our fates.
Walk to conviction,
Do not hide or disguise in shame.
Make a difference,
Lets walk together til the end.

This poem represents the fight against wars, to fight for peace. The message that is being sent is to ignore all hates and be convinced to what is right. To stand up against the wrongs and believe that a world full of peace is possible if we join hands and do it together. I believe that we need leaders, not a famous stars but we can be leaders ourself. To be in that spot, we have to take the responsibility to convince others and lead them to the destination of peace.

Fighting for Love

"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."
Mother Teresa

For 60 years, working with the poor and giving all her LOVE, Mother Teresa's  'Missionary of Charity' became a world wide organization with many participants. She is the heroes of many eyes. The heaven's gift. The Mother of the poor. She is a great example of the values of what one dream that bloom into a huge success,or something that we're worth fighting for.

Fighting for the LOVE is important, as from the following quote; "The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread" (Mother Teresa) This quotes explains that the needs of love is more important than the need for food because the 'love' stays in our heart, not easily forgotten and makes ourselves to not forget that we belong to each other. Love allows us to give, and from giving, we get. In another word, 'sharing is caring' which we often heard, it explains that we need each other to live and together, we fight for something that we values.

Don't be afraid to try, "Do not wait for leader, do it alone; person to person" Mother Teresa said as a lesson to everyone. Which means we can do it alone, by ourselves, person to person. Start with a small number and take the responsibility to aim higher. If everyone follows it, there would be less or no unfortunates left because everyone, with the passion to care and to love for a little amount of people can take up the whole world. Now everyone can make a difference, make what we want to fight for come true.

Without LOVE from one another, more people would be hungry, both for bread and for love. The world might be silent, no communications, forgotten that everyone belong to each other. But Mother Teresa, being the Heaven's gift that was sent to earth, with all her love created and taught people around that together we are the heart to the world and our goal is to fight for what is worth fighting for, and that is not letting the heart of the world fades away.

Hoping for a New World

'Old World was polluted and crowded and
dying from its own poisons. That's why we
left, to find a better place, one we could do
our very best not to wreck like we had Old World'
'I've got lots of hope'

-The New World by Patrick Ness

If there is a chance for creating another world, a new world where everything is perfect, one of the characteristic that I would change is to have outstanding education for everyone. "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself" (-John Dewey). Education is the process of receiving or giving the knowledge to discovery and to life. Without education, we would be narrow-minded and dispassionate for the society that we want.

Education is important because with them, the passion for us to be an educated upstander or leader is better than the uneducated one because I will have the urge and the idea from what I have been educated to reach the goal the society and the goal that I desire. Being an upstander is to convince people to do the right things and stand up against the wrongs. Little of the possibility that the uneducated one would take the chance to stand up because they don't have enough knowledge or courage to stand up against what isn't right. Without upstanders, our society would not reach the new discovery and life we've never been to.

Furthermore, the action of discovering the life and new technology from education would make the society brighter and more convenience. Convenience life might turn the our new little utopia with proper education into a dystopia. However, with educational technology and actions, everyone in the society can help each other to protect our world from becoming another dystopia.

Education is the heart of the New World, with it, people would know the proper things to do whenever it turns into a dystopia. We would know how to solve it. As John Dewey say, 'Education is life itself', he claimed that education is not only what we need to have in life, but with education we can turns our lives into a better one.

Dominance Profile

Dominance Profile: O

In Humanities class, Mr. Whiting visited us and talked about the Dominance Profile. We tested our eyes, ears, legs and hands to know what our profile is, who we work well with, where we should sit and what should we do if our 'super thinking highway' in our brain shut when we're under stressed. I'm a Gestalt, right brained and a kinesthetic and a visual learner. My profile is an O.

Some projects or class work is more difficult for me. I usually struggle when working piece by piece because I'm a gestalt, right brained. I learn best by looking at the whole picture when starting something. Sometimes, I listen to music while I work, I feel very relaxing but sometimes I work slowly because I get distracted easily.

When a teacher gives me instruction, I need to see the instruction because I'm a visual learner, this way helps me remember the instruction better. Plus, I need to be working somewhere quiet or my work will be incomplete. As a Gestalt, we get distracted easily, just by the rain outside makes me want to pull my hair out (especially when I'm under stress).

The strategy that would help me with my learning is acting out the topic, see videos or draw. Logic, left brain people usually study by reading and other things. Us, gestalt, kinesthetic needs to learn by moving around, not just reading and do activities that has less moving. Sometimes I takes notes in class by drawing pictures with some words. And when reading, I usually read out loud because I understand better and I don't get under stress or bored even though I read for a long time.

I want my teacher to know this because it sometimes harder for me to do something I'm not used to.. I think sitting with logical people will helps me learn to become a logic. Everyone have a different ways of learning where they can understand better and I think we can learn from each other.

.:Successful Quote:.

" Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it." -Maya Angelou

Success, for me, is about liking to do something that I like. To be able to be successful for me, something that I'm doing must be something that I like and I think its interesting. I find it hard to be successful when I am doing something that I don't like. Like in my after
school activity, Tennis. I love Tennis. I like to hit the ball but my movement forms is not so good, but I like it and looking forward to play a better tennis.
I think it is also about collarborating or to do something together as a team to be able to success. Like in science, cell project, A group work that have to put a lot of our school SLRss, Collaborate Constructively. If we don't collaborate well, I won't be able to finish the project. Just like a slice of Pizza that is missing cheese on top, it would not be good with the bread alone.

Common Elements In Creation Myths

In many creation myths, from every part of the world, have myths that are similiar such as The Maori creation myth and The Egyptian creation myth.

In these myths, themes of separations, Disapointment and Explanation are at the center of many creation myhts, which is unusual because the places are very far from each other.

The Egyptian and the Maori has the separations of the earth and sky that loved each other so much they wouldn't separate

Disappointment are all in these myth. It started with separations of parents or separations of the earth and sky.

As separation happens, disappointment came and at last Explanation got it own place. The separation of earth and sky in the Maori and the Egyptian brought them to the explanation of rains, winds and flowers. Also, the gave to sun and moon for night and days.

Even though, people and gods separated and they were in disappointment...But they brought explanation to earth (Nature).
